The face behind Cake & Jelly is Kelly Mlsna, a talented designer with a keen eye for design and a fun, approachable personality. We recently partnered with Kelly on a couple of fun projects, including a fireplace revamp in a historic Madison home and home office finishes in a gorgeous new build in Black Earth.
The Madison home project involved demolishing an old fireplace wall to create space for a new electric fireplace unit with marble tile surround, flanked by custom-built shelves stained to match the dark walnut-toned trim throughout the home.
The Black Earth home project included handcrafted solid white oak floating shelves stained in a custom tone to match the owner's engineered flooring planks. The purpose of this nook is to house the owner's printer and store other supplies in decorative baskets. We also assisted with additional design installation projects to complete Kelly's vision, giving her client a beautifully decorated home office where she can be proud to work every day.
